About the Company:

A leading private healthcare organisation is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Finance Manager to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity for a finance professional with expertise in financial and taxation reporting, focusing on compliance and delivering accurate results in a dynamic environment.

About the Role:

As Senior Finance Manager reporting to the Group Financial Controller, you will be instrumental in overseeing financial compliance, reporting, and taxation matters, while collaborating with key stakeholders to drive excellence in financial operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and refine policies, procedures, and tools, focusing on Tax Policy and GST Governance.
  • Ensure accuracy in financial reporting, including preparation and lodgement of monthly mandatory reporting for the ATO (BAS returns, STP reporting) and compliance with PAYG, payroll tax, and FBT.
  • Monitor non-compliance issues and update policies and procedures as necessary.
  • Provide guidance on legislative changes and collaborate with finance systems developers to implement the necessary updates.
  • Develop and deliver training programmes to foster a culture of excellence and compliance across the organisation.
  • Oversee financial closing and reporting, as well as support audit processes.
  • Assist with the preparation of statutory and board reporting.
  • Complete ad hoc tasks and projects as requested by business stakeholders and management.
The Ideal Candidate:
  • CA/CPA Qualified
  • Chartered background in professional services preferred.
  • Technical expertise in indirect tax, particularly GST.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills with the ability to manage a small team.
  • Experience managing relationships with ATO and regulatory bodies.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • knowledge of Dynamic 365 or JIRA is a plus
