An opportunity has become available for a Senior Accounts Payable Officer at a well-established and large organisation. This is a permanent position based in the suburbs with parking available onsite and flexible working hours.
As the successful candidate you will report to the Accounts Payable Lead and be responsible for supporting the delivery of an invoice automation project. You will work as part of a team of three in invoice entry, matching and coding invoices, reconciliations and investigating any discrepancies/errors etc.
You will thrive in a collaborative team environment and hold strong capability in end to end accounts payable processes.
Key Responsibilities
Reporting to the Accounts Payable Lead, you will be responsible for working within a high-volume and fast-paced accounts payable team.
Your key responsibilities will include, however are not limited to:
- Processing a high-volume of invoices and credit notes in an automation system;
- Supplier, credit card and bank reconciliations;
- Reporting and supporting with all EOM activities;
- Investigating any errors or discrepancies in the automated system;
- Ad hoc accounts support to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the payables team.
Skills and Experience:
As the suitable candidate you will have a keen interest in accounts and developing your career with this large and reputable business. You will need to demonstrate that you can work in a close-knit intimate team environment.
In addition, you will demonstrate the ability to:
- Demonstrate the ability to build strong professional relationships
- Effective and adaptive communication skills
- Computer literacy in all Microsoft office applications (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint) and experience with ERP systems
