Based in Belmont, this business is a well-known player within the construction & mining industry, who has a strong commitment to developing a positive and high performing culture.
Due to an increase in work from new projects, they have created a position for a Senior Accounts Officer, reporting to the finance manager, and working in a team of 4.
This position is to start immediately, and is a genuine temp to perm opportunity, therefore you will need to have full working rights to be consider for this position.
The Role
- Manage Accounts Payable & Receivable entries, including fortnightly payment runs
- End to end payroll for up to 100 employees on a fortnightly basis, including PAYG, tax & super
- Processing month end and general journals
- Prepare and review financial statements, reports, invoices and expense reports
- Reconcile bank statements and accounts
- Assist in budget preparation and financial forecasting
- Analyse budget variances and review P&L with managers
- Contribute to the development and improvement of accounting processes
Ideal Candidate
- 3 + years as a Accounts Officer, from a high volume, commercial environment
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
- Ability to meet deadlines and work effectively under pressure
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities
