The Role | Reporting to the Financial Reporting Manager
Duties will include:
- Lead and oversee key aspects of financial reporting across gaming, non-gaming, and support services business units.
- Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, including journal postings, balance sheet reconciliations, and financial analysis.
- Deliver month-end close processes, preparing and reviewing P&L statements in line with reporting deadlines.
- Support the development of forecasts, budgets, and cash flow projections.
- Collaborate with Finance Business Partners to provide reliable financial insights to drive business decisions.
- Identify and implement process enhancements to improve reporting efficiency and strengthen internal controls.
- Manage and oversee the completion of financial reporting, statutory compliance, and regulatory disclosures.
- Coordinate with external auditors and facilitate audit-related requirements.
- Lead, mentor, and support a high-performing team to ensure continued professional growth and development.
You are a skilled accounting professional with a keen eye for financial accuracy and process improvement. To succeed in this role, you will bring a collaborative approach, strong analytical skills, and leadership capabilities. Key requirements include:
- 4-6+ years of relevant technical accounting experience
- Big 4 First Movers or preferably experience in both chartered and industry roles.
- CA/CPA qualified with a strong understanding of Australian Accounting Standards.
- Demonstrated experience leading teams and mentoring finance professionals.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and financial systems, including PeopleSoft and other financial reporting tools.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
