An exciting opportunity to work with a well established organisation located in South Sydney is available. This financial accountants' position will be responsible for the preparation of monthly bank, balance sheet and other reconciliations as well as monthly revenue, commission and expense calculations.
The responsibilities:
Your responsibilities will include (but are not limited to);
- Compile and summarise the organisation's financial status by preparing key reports, including the balance sheet, profit and loss statement, and other month-end close documents.
- Manage and oversee the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processes and supervise associated staff.
- Prepare and distribute monthly scorecards to hospital management.
- Assist in completing weekly financial forecasts.
- Verify documents to substantiate financial transactions.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls to maintain accounting and financial security.
- Resolve financial discrepancies by analyzing and reconciling account information.
- Create financial reports by collecting, analysing, and interpreting account data and trends.
- Process payments by verifying documentation and requesting disbursements.
- Support the Finance Commercial Manager in budget and forecast development.
- Monitor debt collection and oversee billing processes.
- Supervise stocktakes, ensuring reconciliation and alignment with financial records.
Ideally, you will be a fully CA/CPA Qualified accounting professional or studying towards, and will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills as your ability to interact and engage cross functionally within the business will be crucial to your success. Additionally, you will have strong Microsoft Excel skills, had experience working in a complex & high-volume environment and possess a positive "can-do" work ethic.
