About the role & client
An exciting role with a nationally-recognised manufacturing organisation currently exists in order to fill a key role in their team. This Reporting & Tax Manager position will help drive commercial excellence across the group through the analysis of key data to help improve business performance. Initially this will be a 3 to 6 month role, however there is the opportunity for extension and/or permanency.
The responsibilities
Reporting to the General Manager of Finance, you will be responsible for tax management, statutory reporting and treasury functions. More specifically, your role will include:
- Preparation of consolidated company income tax return
- Preparation and lodgement of BAS and FBT returns
- Identify tax issues and advise the business in relation to all tax matters
- Maintaining Prolease software for all leases and preparation of IFRS16 leas accounting entries and completion of monthly schedules
- Preparation of audited annual consolidated financial statements
- Preparation of consolidation entries for annual financial reporting
- Manage the full treasury function - cash flow forecasting and funding requests
- Manage banking relationships & administration of bank accounts
- Ad-hoc work as required
Ideally, you will be a CA/CPA qualified accounting professional. You will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills as your ability to interact and engage cross functionally within the business will be crucial to your success. Experience in similar roles will be highly advantageous.
