About this Role:
As a Registered Nurse in a correctional facility, you will deliver high-quality mental health care, ensuring the wellbeing of individuals in a secure environment. This role requires a compassionate, patient-centered approach, balancing clinical expertise with the ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide mental health assessments and interventions for individuals in custody.
- Develop and implement care plans, ensuring holistic treatment.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to manage complex cases.
- Monitor and respond to changes in patient conditions.
- Maintain accurate and timely medical records.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety protocols within the facility.
Key Requirements:
- Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse.
- Experience in mental health nursing, with strong clinical skills.
- Ability to work effectively within a correctional setting.
- Post Graduate Qualification in Mental Health
- National Criminal History Check and ability to obtain a security clearance.
