They are currently seeking a skilled professional to join our team as a Quality Manager based in Brisbane.
About the Role:
As a QA Manager, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining and enhancing our quality assurance processes. Reporting to the Head of Quality and Technical, you will lead and mentor a team of quality assurance professionals, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluation to ensure a high level of competency and accountability.
Your responsibilities will include collaborating with internal departments such as production and procurement to align quality standards and address any issues, while also developing and maintaining strong relationships with external stakeholders, including suppliers and customers. You will handle supplier quality concerns, manage customer feedback and complaints, and represent the organization in interactions with regulatory bodies to ensure compliance with food safety standards. Your role will be central to driving continuous improvement initiatives and ensuring that our quality systems are effective and responsive to industry and regulatory changes.
Skills & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in food science, Chemistry, or a related field.
- At least 5 years in quality assurance within the meat processing industry.
- Proficient in HACCP, GMP, GFSI, and other food safety standards and regulations.
- Strong leadership abilities with experience in team management and staff development.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills; experience with quality management software and tools.
- Effective communication skills with the ability to handle customer and supplier relationships.
