About the role
As the Quality Assurance Coordinator, you will support our Quality team operations by developing and implementing best-in-class food safety and quality principles. Your focus will be on facilitating training, refining systems and processes, and engaging with customers as needed.
You’ll track key metrics such as microbial testing and foreign material detection, collaborate on product releases, and manage non-conforming products while maintaining QA systems. Your responsibilities include driving continuous improvement in Quality Assurance, participating in internal audits, managing Non-Conformance Reports, and creating and validating product specifications. Additionally, you will develop food safety training, analyze data for reporting, support customer complaint investigations, mentor junior team members, and act as a SQF Practitioner.
Skills and experience
- Minimum bachelor’s degree in applied science or science with a major in Food Science, Nutrition, Chemistry, Microbiology or related field.
- At least 5 years’ experience in food manufacturing operations, QA or innovation.
- Minimum 3 years of leadership experience, preferably in a similar role.
- Proven ability to coach, mentor, and support teams to achieve production outcomes while fostering a positive culture aligned with Company Values.
- High-level knowledge of food microbiology, root cause analysis, and change management.
- Strong computer and systems skills.
