The position is based in Carseldine, Brisbane’s northside, with flexible hybrid working (2–3 days on-site/week). A strong government background and the ability to manage complex stakeholder environments will be key.
Role / Responsibilities
- Leading a coordinated program of multiple ICT projects, ensuring delivery aligns with business objectives and provides measurable value.
- Guiding project managers and technical teams across the program, creating a collaborative, high-performing culture.
- Partnering closely with stakeholders across business units and executive leadership to manage expectations, drive engagement, and keep projects on track.
- Establishing governance, reporting, and quality assurance across the program, using frameworks like PRINCE2 and MSP.
- Managing interdependencies, risks, and issues, ensuring proactive problem-solving and escalation where needed.
- Championing benefits realisation and adoption – working closely with Change Management and other support teams to embed lasting outcomes.
- Integrating Agile delivery practices where appropriate within a broader governance structure.
- Proven experience managing large-scale ICT programs or portfolios, ideally in government or other complex environments.
- Confident leadership across multidisciplinary teams, with a knack for motivating and aligning people around a common goal.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills – credible, influential, and calm under pressure.
- Strong grounding in PRINCE2 and MSP (or similar methodologies), with an adaptable mindset and familiarity with Agile ways of working.
- Sharp strategic thinking and the ability to manage budgets, timelines, and competing priorities.
- Experience working in or with the public sector will be highly regarded.
