Our client is a multinational manufacturer looking for a Production Scheduler to join their supply chain /planning team, responsible for developing and managing the master production plan for specified product categories.

About the Role:
  • Develop a continuous Master Production Plan utilizing sales forecasts, historical sales data, and potential new business opportunities.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing teams to implement plans and schedules, ensuring timely deliveries.
  • Track actual output against the Master Production Plan, identify discrepancies, and implement corrective actions.
  • Assess and analyse risks related to the production schedule, including material shortages, workforce availability, and equipment usage.
  • Lead and support improvement initiatives, including the implementation of S4 Hana and new scheduling platforms.
  • Collaborate with relevant teams to minimize quarantine time through reworking or other methods as directed by R&D/QC.
  • Manage schedule adjustments and coordinate with manufacturing to ensure accurate material and resource requirements.
  • Determine demand levels and develop tactical production scheduling plans to meet backlog commitments.
  • Support new product development by coordinating scheduling for product launches, end-of-life phases, and plant trials.
  • Participate in operations planning meetings to align with the Demand Planner, Procurement Team, and customer demand.
About You:
  • Demonstrated experience in planning within a complex manufacturing environment, managing over 1000 SKUs and multiple manufacturing work centers.
  • In-depth knowledge of ERP systems principles, concepts, and industry standards.
  • Familiarity with operational excellence, SOP, and/or IBP is highly valued.
  • At least 2-3 years of experience in an SAP environment (APICS-CPIM certification is an advantage).
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to resolve data anomalies.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong customer service orientation for both internal and external clients.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Proven ability to implement continuous improvement processes.
