The position & The Organisation:

Sharp & Carter are pleased to be partnered with a well-established and popular retail group as they search for a talented People and Culture Advisor to join their growing P&C department. This is initially a 6 month contract with the potential to go permanent.

As a People and Culture Advisor, you will play a crucial role in providing expert advice and support on a wide range of HR matters for various stakeholders across the business. You will collaborate with managers and employees to ensure compliance with HR policies and procedures, while also contributing to the development and implementation of cultural initiatives that support our client's strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide professional HR advice and guidance to managers and employees on various HR issues, including employee relations, performance management, and compliance with employment laws and regulations.
  • Assist with recruitment and selection processes, including job postings, candidate screening, interviewing, and offer management.
  • Conduct new employee onboarding and orientation sessions, ensuring a smooth transition into the organisation.
  • Manage employee relations matters, including investigations, disciplinary actions, and conflict resolution.
  • Administer HR policies and procedures, ensuring consistency and fairness across the business.
  • Support HR initiatives such as training and development programs, employee engagement initiatives, and performance appraisal processes.
Skills & Experience: 
  • At least 3 years' experience in similar role as an HR Advisor, ideally within the Retail or Hospitality sectors.
  • Knowledge of local employment laws and regulations.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to quickly build relationships and work effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
