The Opportunity

Reporting to the Payroll Specialist, you’ll play a pivotal role in a large, collaborative team where no two days are the same. You’ll be at the heart of payroll, WorkCover, and HR functions, with responsibilities including:

• Delivering outstanding customer service to employees and stakeholders.
• Ensuring payroll compliance with statutory and legislative requirements (e.g., Child Support, Superannuation).
• Interpreting and applying industry awards and agreements to wages.
• Providing advice and calculations for leave entitlements based on relevant legislation.
• Maintaining accurate, confidential payroll records.
• Preparing reports and reconciling month-end payroll.
• Supporting departmental initiatives, projects, and ad-hoc tasks as needed.

  
About You

Are you ready to bring your expertise to a team that values collaboration and innovation? To thrive in this role, you’ll need:

• A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar Payroll Officer role.
• A team-oriented mindset with strong communication skills (written and verbal).
• Exceptional attention to detail and time management skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills to build meaningful relationships.
• Proven experience with interpreting awards, enterprise agreements, and legislation.
• Experience with Dayforce or Preceda (highly desirable).
