Due to ongoing growth the business are seeking a motivated Payroll Officer to join their business based in the Northern suburbs.
Position Description
Reporting directly into the Payroll Manager, and working among a supportive team, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Ensuring the timely and accurate processing of employee timesheets
- Processing fortnightly payroll for 500+ employees
- Processing new starters and terminations
- Interpreting various EBA's and awards
- Calculations of payroll tax, superannuation and work cover
- Providing accurate information in a timely manner in response to employee queries
- Additional duties to assist the payroll team
Candidate Profile
The successful candidate will have proven experience in a similar Payroll position, as well as the following attributes:
- Demonstrated excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and positive working approach
- Ability to work collaboratively and effectively in a team environment
- A go-getter attitude and willingness to learn
- Ability to build relationships with internal staff members
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills
