The Opportunity
Our client are looking to attract a Senior Payroll Officer to the business on a temporary basis with a view that the role could go on to be made permanent.
In the role you would report through to the Payroll Manager directly who has tenure in the business, as well as having offshored support. You will be processing payroll mainly across Australia end to end as well as offering support to the NZ payroll function.
Job Responsibilities
- Processing fortnightly payroll for 1000+ employees
- Interpretation of the General Retail Industry Award
- Maintain accurate employee data including onboarding/terminations
- Ensure compliance with all payroll-related legislation & regulation
- Calculate and process superannuation, leave entitlements and other payroll-related adjustments
- Responding to payroll queries
- Provide support to the Payroll Manager with AD HOC reporting/project related tasks
- Previous payroll systems experience (Chris21, ADP, Oracle etc.)
- Previous experience in retail advantageous but not essential
- End to end payroll processing experience a must
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to meet deadlines and work effectively within a team environment
