An exciting opportunity is available for a Payroll Officer to join a busy and collaborative team in North Ryde. Reporting to the Payroll Team Leader, you will contribute to accurate and timely payroll processing while providing support to your teammates on day-to-day payroll queries. This role involves managing your own monthly payroll processing and helping ensure smooth payroll operations across the team.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- End-to-End Payroll: Process payroll, including handling new starters, bank changes, superannuation, salary adjustments, allowances and deductions, and terminations.
- Payroll Compliance: Follow documented payroll checking procedures to ensure compliance and accuracy in all payroll tasks.
- Termination Payments: Assist with the calculation and processing of termination payments.
- PAYG, Super, and Third-Party Payments: Support the administration and processing of PAYG, superannuation, and other third-party payments.
- Masterfile Maintenance: Maintain and update the payroll masterfile to ensure accurate records.
- Audit and Discrepancy Follow-Up: Review audit reports for each payroll cycle and assist with resolving any discrepancies.
- Report Preparation: Assist with preparing regular payroll reports as required.
- Annual Reconciliation: Support the reconciliation of annual payroll data and reports.
- Capable of processing high volume, complex multi-site payrolls
- Knowledge in Chris21/Ichris & Kronos is very advantageous
- Approachable attitude and friendly to other team members
- High attention to detail, completing work with a high level of accuracy
