Our client is a respected non-profit organisation. They are seeking an experienced Payroll Officer to join their dedicated and dynamic team on a 6-month contract position with potential for extension or permanency.
About the role:
As the Payroll Officer, you will be reporting into the Payroll Manager and will be working in a team of 5 Payroll Officers. Your key responsibilities will include but not be limited to the following:
- Managing payroll processing for up to 3000 employees on a fortnightly basis
- Awards and EBA interpretation
- Assisting with on boarding for new starters
- Managing queries from internal stakeholders
- Prepare and lodge payroll tax, work cover and superannuation
- Ensure employee details are up to date and accurate
- Other ad hoc duties as per your Payroll Manager's request
To be considered for this position, the ideal applicant will have at least 3 years’ experience in a similar position. You will have an eye for detail, have excellent time management skills and be adaptable. Strong communication skills, a team approach and a positive can-do attitude are important for this role. Prior experience with any large Payroll system will be considered advantageous.
