About our client

They are seeking a switched-on Payroll Manager to join their team in an autonomous payroll position with support and backup.
The Role
Reporting to the Head of HR, you will be responsible for the following
- End to end payroll processing for approximately 300 employees on a fortnight basis
- Process Australian and New Zealand payroll
- Ensuring complete and accurate statutory reporting - STP, PAYG, Tax, Super, Workcover
- Relevant EBA and Award interpretation
- Processing redundancies, terminations and onboarding
- Reporting and budgeting
- Provide high quality customer service through accurate information and support to stakeholder enquiries
- Reconciliations
- Take responsibility for the payroll system and function
The successful applicant will have
- Prior experience within a similar autonomous position
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- The ability to work in a team-based environment
- Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritise urgent work
- Analytical skills and an ability to think outside the box
- Willingness to take on projects
- Willingness to own the entire payroll function and system
