Role Overview:
As Payroll Officer your position will have a strong customer service focus, along with primarily assisting in the processing of payroll. 

Key Responsibilities:


Processing of payment to employees and all associated administrative tasks based on
Enterprise agreements, Fair work Act, Peninsula Health policies and Payroll processes.
• Present a professional image, ensuring strict confidentiality is maintained at all times.
• Be accountable for own performance and seek to expand personal skill levels

  • Processing of payments to employees and all associated administrative tasks based on EA's, Fair work Act and company policies and processes. 
  • Manage payroll data entry, including new hires, terminations, and changes to employee details.
  • Calculate and process leave entitlements, overtime, and deductions.
  • Maintain and update payroll records, ensuring all information is accurate and confidential.
  • Respond to payroll inquiries from employees, providing exceptional service and resolving any issues promptly.
  • Prepare and submit payroll reports as required, including tax and superannuation contributions.
  • Assist with end-of-year processes, including preparation of annual tax summaries and compliance with relevant regulations.
Key Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a Payroll Officer or in a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of payroll systems, relevant legislation, and best practices.
  • Proficiency in payroll software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
  • Strong communication skills and a customer-focused approach.
  • Experience with SAP is preferred but not essential
