As they continue to grow and streamline processes they are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Payroll Officer to join our team and manage the payroll operations with precision and care.

Role Overview:
As a Payroll Officer, you will be responsible for overseeing the fortnightly payroll for approximately 130 employees. This is a part-time position (.6 or .4 FTE) based at the company office in Melbourne's Eastern suburbs, offering flexibility while ensuring the smooth and accurate processing of payroll.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Process fortnightly payroll for 130 employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and relevant legislation.
  • Manage payroll data entry, including new hires, terminations, and changes to employee details.
  • Calculate and process leave entitlements, overtime, and deductions.
  • Maintain and update payroll records, ensuring all information is accurate and confidential.
  • Respond to payroll inquiries from employees, providing exceptional service and resolving any issues promptly.
  • Prepare and submit payroll reports as required, including tax and superannuation contributions.
  • Assist with end-of-year processes, including preparation of annual tax summaries and compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Support Payables and Receivables on an adhoc basis.
Key Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a Payroll Officer or in a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of payroll systems, relevant legislation, and best practices.
  • Proficiency in payroll software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
  • Strong communication skills and a customer-focused approach.
  • Experience with Employment Hero is a plus!
