Job Description:
• Manage payroll processing and ensure accuracy and timeliness
• Maintain payroll records and ensure compliance with policies and regulations
• Resolve payroll inquiries and discrepancies
• Prepare and distribute payroll reports
• Collaborate with HR and finance teams
• Ensure accurate calculation of wages, benefits, taxes, and deductions
• Stay updated on payroll regulations and best practices
• Support month-end payroll processes
• Contribute to payroll process improvements
About the Role:
This ongoing opportunity is for an experienced Payroll Officer to manage payroll functions for a large corporation based in Melbourne's Western suburbs. Reporting to the Senior Accountant, you’ll be an integral part of a close-knit team. You’ll be responsible for processing payroll, maintaining records, ensuring compliance, and addressing payroll inquiries. Your role will also involve collaboration with HR and finance teams to ensure smooth payroll operations.

To succeed in this role, you’ll need proven experience in a payroll position, with a strong understanding of payroll systems and related legislation. You should have exceptional attention to detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to manage time effectively in a busy environment.
