Our client, a well-established and highly reputable FMCG manufacturer, is seeking a Maintenance Technician to join their growing team on a full-time, permanent basis. With consistent production volumes, this is an exciting opportunity for a trade-qualified maintenance professional to become part of a supportive and collaborative maintenance team.
The Responsibilities
The duties of the role will consist of the following; however, will not be limited to:
- Preventative and reactive maintenance on production lines and machinery
- Troubleshooting, fault finding, and diagnosing issues through HMIs and automated systems
- Working closely within a team of technicians and fitters on shift, reporting to the Maintenance Manager
- Daily crossover meetings to ensure smooth handovers between shifts
- Ensuring all work is carried out to high safety and quality standards
The successful candidate will possess the following skills and experience:
- Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident (essential)
- Trade-qualified Maintenance Technician or Fitter with proven mechanical maintenance experience
- Strong troubleshooting and fault-finding abilities, particularly on automated machinery
- Previous experience within an FMCG, manufacturing, or food production environment highly regarded
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
- Strong communication skills and a proactive approach to maintenance and safety
- Afternoon shift, Monday to Friday, 2 PM to midnight (with occasional overtime)
- Hands-on exposure to automated machinery and growing CMMS processes
- Supportive leadership and team environment
