Based out of my clients manufacturing facility in Brisbane, you will travel to client sites, where you will be responsible for the installation, termination, and maintenance of fibre optic cables. The role involves working at heights (up to 10m), within confined spaces, and in remote locations, with projects typically spanning 2-5 days.
About the role
This is an exciting opportunity for a Telecommunications Field Technician to work on the installation, termination, and servicing of fibre optic cabling across a range of sites, including mining, industrial, and utility infrastructure. The role involves:
- Fibre optic termination, splicing, and testing at customer sites.
- Diagnosing and troubleshooting cable-related issues in the field.
- Interpreting and working from cabling plans and designs.
- Working at heights (up to 10m) and in confined spaces.
- Travelling to remote sites, with projects typically lasting 2-5 days.
Role Requirements:
To succeed in this role, you must have:
- Prior site based experience in telecommunications or electrical industries.
- Certificate III in Telecommunications or equivalent
- ACMA Open Cabling Registration (or willingness to obtain).
- Manual QLD Driver’s License (Additional MR license preferred but not required).
- Willingness to travel extensively across Queensland, including remote sites.
