Key Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with safety, food safety, and environmental standards
- Provide troubleshooting and support for PLC and SCADA systems
- Lead automation projects from design to implementation and maintenance
- Analyse downtime causes and implement engineering solutions to reduce breakdowns
- Maintain and update SCADA databases, screen displays, and system configurations
- Manage documentation for all automation control systems, ensuring accuracy and security
- Support maintenance planning by providing technical insights and reports
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, R&D, and engineering
- Assist in developing and submitting capital applications for asset improvements
- Bachelor's degree or Trade qualification
- Strong expertise in automation equipment, PLC programming, and SCADA systems
- Proficiency with Rockwell / Allen Bradley, Ignition, and other PLC platforms
- Experience in robotics, machine learning, and system troubleshooting
- Project management skills with the ability to drive process improvements
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and organisational abilities
- Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
- Experience with SAP and industrial control systems
