Our client is a leading food services organisation specializing in high-quality products. As they continue to grow, they are seeking a strategic and results-driven Head of Procurement to oversee our sourcing of raw protein and packaging materials.
Role Overview:
As the Head of Procurement, you will lead the procurement strategy, ensuring a sustainable and cost-effective supply chain for raw protein and packaging.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a strategic procurement plan for raw protein and packaging materials, aligning with business goals.
- Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers to ensure cost efficiency, sustainability, and reliability.
- Lead supplier relationship management to enhance partnerships, improve quality, and drive innovation.
- Monitor market trends, commodity pricing, and industry developments to mitigate risk and capitalize on opportunities.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations, ethical sourcing policies, and corporate sustainability objectives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including operations, R&D, and finance to optimize procurement processes.
- Implement best practices in procurement, including cost-saving initiatives and process automation.
- Proven experience in a senior procurement role, ideally within the food manufacturing industry.
- Strong knowledge of raw protein sourcing and food packaging procurement.
- Excellent negotiation, supplier management, and contract management skills.
- In-depth understanding of market dynamics, risk management, and supply chain logistics.
- Strong leadership and stakeholder management abilities.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a focus on continuous improvement.
- Experience in sustainability and ethical sourcing practices is highly desirable.
