The Role
Reporting to the CFO, this position is a key member of the leadership team and is tasked with responsibility for leading and providing high quality commercially oriented category market data and related insights, driving Revenue Growth initiatives, financial scenario planning, strategic planning and overseeing the development of channel & customer strategic plans and portfolio optimisation.

Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Developing 3–5-year commercial projections by category across tonnage, net sales revenue, promotional costs and sales contribution. Guiding the long-term commercial base plans for purpose of strategy development
  • Identify and develop long term profitability growth enablers including, but not limited to, trading terms negotiations, cost out initiatives (pack weight), customer growth incentives.
  • Key business decision support i.e. price increase planning, business tenders, innovation project costings/value chain scenarios & analysis, portfolio and category income statements and related planning scenarios
  • Driving continuous improvement of business rhythms, processes and cycles
  • Analyse market trends, pricing strategies, and competitor activities to identify opportunities for revenue growth.
  • Develop and implement optimal trading & pricing strategies by channel, by customer, by category, by brand, by sku to maximize revenue and profitability.
  • Monitor and evaluate pricing performance and make recommendations for adjustments as needed.
  • Work closely with sales, marketing, and finance teams to align pricing strategies to achieve business objectives.
  • Utilise data and analytics to forecast revenue and identify opportunities for revenue optimisation.
  • Collaborate with sales team to negotiate pricing, contracts, trading terms, and promotional programs.

  • CA/CPA qualified
  • Demonstrated strategy or finance experience in FMCG or manufacturing environment, with particular focus in commercial finance business partnering
  • Outcomes focused team leadership style, particularly during times of change
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills with the ability to present complex financial concepts to build commercial awareness and understanding
  • A strong desire to be proactively involved and influence cross-functionally within the company
