The Role
This role will see you leading a local finance function and form part of the ELT. Your key responsibilities include:
- Lead the daily operations of the finance function.
- Drive finance strategy and business improvement across the business.
- Lead the annual budgeting process for the business and its entities.
- Forecasting activities, actual vs budget, variance analysis and management and board reporting.
- Presentation of management reports to business leaders and ELT.
- Oversee compliance, reporting and statutory activities including annual audit (lead contact) and taxation (GST/BAS, payroll tax, FBT and income tax).
- Oversee treasury including bank relationships and cash flow.
- Development and maintenance of inventory costings.
- Partner with key business leaders including factory operations to ensure continuous process improvements.
The successful candidate will be CA/CPA qualified. As this role has a strong FP&A lens, you will be commercial and strategic, and will be highly competent in business partnering with operational stakeholders. Your background from an inventory or industrial business will be essential. Our client is looking for someone with mid-size company experience (circa $50M - $250M turnover). In addition, you will be technically astute with the ability to oversee the compliance function.
