As a detail-oriented Financial Reporting Accountant, you will play a key role in ensuring the timely and accurate completion of month-end and year-end financial reporting processes, assisting with accounts payable, and maintaining financial integrity across various Asia Pacific (APAC) entities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and ensure all financial transactions are processed, reconciled, and closed monthly, adhering to established month-end reporting timelines.
- Manage and reconcile banking activities to ensure accurate financial reporting and operational efficiency.
- Finalize financial records for entities by executing critical processes such as:
- Accruals and Prepayments reconciliation
- Management of expenditure
- Inventory reconciliation, focusing on both quantity and valuation
- Recognition and posting of Price and Exchange Variance
- Maintenance and reconciliation of Fixed Assets
- Provide support for the AP function, including processing invoices and coordinating payments.
- Perform month-end foreign exchange translation processes for US reporting requirements.
- Review and post both realised and unrealised FX journal entries during the month-end close.
- Ensure accurate setup and maintenance of General Ledger accounts, including posting rules and internal controls.
- Assist in the preparation and execution of year-end US reporting, ensuring compliance and timely submissions.
The Candidate
- CA/CPA qualified or currently completing
- Previous experience in financial reporting
- Solid knowledge of month-end and year-end closing procedures.
- Proficiency in ERP systems and advanced Excel skills.
- Ability to handle complex financial transactions, including FX, accruals, and inventory.
- Strong attention to detail, with a focus on accuracy and completeness in financial reporting.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work in a collaborative team environment.
- Experience in a multi-currency, multi-entity environment is highly preferred.
