The Role
Reporting to the CFO this newly created role will see you sit as part of the senior leadership team and play a key role in leading the finance function for their largest division. A recent largescale acquisition will see their turnover grow to over $350M. Your primary focus will be:
- Drive business value and efficiency through meaningful analysis and insights on financial performance.
- Highlight operational improvement opportunities and implement processes and controls.
- Partner with and influence across all levels of the business while working closely with senior leaders.
- Lead, develop and mentor a finance team including qualified accountants and shared service.
- Month-end close activities including overseeing compliance.
- Presentation of month end reporting packs for the global head office.
- Presentation of quarterly and annual financial results.
- Lead and facilitate financial audits and the annual income tax return process.
- Present insights and analysis of information to the CFO and other senior executives.
- Financial reporting, reporting variances, ensuring meaningful insight and analysis for strategic decision-making.
- Own the budgeting and forecasting process.
- Participate and lead strategic transformation projects.
The Person
As the Financial Controller you will be embedded in the business finance operations. This role is very much a ‘value add’ and visible finance role so your ability to foster and build relationships at both a corporate and a site level will be critical. You must come from an international or global business to understand scale and complexity and have career experience within an industrial sector such as manufacturing, construction or similar.
You will be CA/CPA qualified, technically capable with a natural commercial lens and at the point in your career where you are a seasoned controller with strong attributes leading, developing and driving a high performance finance team.
