Are you a seasoned and hands-on financial leader ready to make an impact during a time of significant change? Our client is seeking a Financial Controller to oversee technical accounting, financial control, and compliance for a business navigating a pivotal growth and transformation phase.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Management
  • Oversee month-end close, audit preparation, statutory accounts, tax compliance, and treasury management.
  • Ensure accurate, timely financial reporting aligned with regulatory and governance standards.
  • Collaborate with auditors and regulatory bodies to enhance tax compliance and governance practices.
Team Leadership
  • Lead and mentor a finance team, fostering a culture of high performance and accountability.
  • Coordinate with international teams to maintain seamless financial operations.
Strategic Initiatives
  • Support the implementation of a new ERP as part of a major transformation project.
  • Provide expertise in financial modeling and statutory reporting.
  • Drive enhancements in financial governance and controls to support turnaround efforts.
Operational Oversight
  • Play a key role in M&A activities, including financial guidance, due diligence, and integration.
  • Maintain accurate and current financial records through a hands-on approach to technical accounting.
  • Address compliance milestones, improving governance practices to meet regulatory expectations.
What We’re Looking For

Technical Skills
  • Expertise in technical accounting, tax compliance, statutory accounts, and treasury functions.
  • Hands-on experience with ERP systems.
Leadership and Collaboration
  • Proven experience in managing and mentoring finance teams.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively across diverse teams, including international collaboration.
Professional Background
  • CPA/CA qualified or equivalent.
  • Experience in services industries preferred but open to other backgrounds.
  • Proven ability to manage financial operations for a business of similar scale.
Personal Attributes
  • Highly proactive and detail-oriented with a hands-on approach.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to prioritize competing demands.
  • Exceptional communication skills for presenting complex financial information to stakeholders.
