The Role
In this role, you will analyse high-volume transaction data, monitor financial performance, and provide insights that drive business growth. You will collaborate closely with various teams to enhance financial reporting, margin optimisation, and reconciliation processes.
  
Responsibilities
  • Continuously monitor financial transactions to identify trends, anomalies, and irregularities.
  • Analyse transaction data to detect fraud, errors, or unusual patterns.
  • Develop and implement tools to improve transaction monitoring efficiency.
  • Perform in-depth variance analysis and provide timely financial insights.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards and reporting tools for financial performance tracking.
  • Monitor and analyse transaction margins to ensure profitability.
  • Identify factors impacting margins and collaborate with teams to address them.
  • Reconcile settlement reports and billing data, ensuring accuracy and resolving discrepancies.
  • Assist in preparing budgets and forecasts, analysing business impact scenarios.
  • Support month-end reporting, journal preparation, and balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Prepare and distribute weekly financial summaries highlighting key trends.
  • Collaborate with sales teams to provide data-driven insights for pricing strategies.
The Candidate
The ideal candidate must have:
  • 3-4 years’ experience in financial analysis.
  • A strong commercial background in a high-growth, high-complexity business.
  • Demonstrated experience in hands-on analysis of high-volume, complex data sets.
  • Proven experience with variance analysis and the ability to clearly articulate drivers of margin and performance variances.
  • Proficiency in developing reports and dashboards using BI platforms and tools (e.g., Power BI).
  • Proven ability to build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to work under pressure to meet strict deadlines while having excellent attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
