Our client is a national leader in the services industry, currently experiencing an exciting phase of sustained growth through both organic expansion and strategic acquisitions. With plans to broaden their service offering into new markets and industries, this is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Financial Accountant to join their large, high-performing finance function within the Financial Control team.
The Role
Reporting directly to the Financial Controller, you will be principally responsible for:
- Prepare and consolidate monthly financial statements, general ledgers, and reports, including contributions to the CFO and Group Reports.
- Oversee treasury functions such as weekly cash flow monitoring, forecasting, and preparation of bank covenant compliance documentation.
- Develop and maintain financial reporting templates using Excel and Power BI, and review realised/unrealised gains and losses from hedging transactions.
- Support year-end external audits and assist with the preparation of the Group’s Statutory Accounts in accordance with applicable accounting standards.
- Contribute to the Group’s income tax affairs and the preparation of month-end journals and P&Ls for administrative departments.
- Perform assigned balance sheet reconciliations and collaborate with foreign subsidiaries to manage intercompany loans and investment reconciliations.
- Participate in budgeting and forecasting processes, including consolidation of regional budgets and forecasts, and managing cash flow and balance sheet projections.
- Ensure timely, accurate financial reporting, effective treasury management, and support additional tasks as required.
