Based in Laverton North, our client is a National leader in the Horticultural space and is currently seeking a skilled and experienced Financial Accountant to join their finance team.
The company operates from several locations across all States and Territories of Australia. This unique footprint offers both international and local manufacturers of farm inputs (fertiliser, crop protection, seed) with a specialised route to the farm gate. Their significant investment in people with agronomic qualifications provides both their farming customers and input manufacturers with a professional approach to maximising farm production.
The Role
Reporting into the Group Financial Controller your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
- Preparation of monthly financial reports for companies within the group.
- Preparation of branch's P & L’s.
- Month end processes
- Reconciliation of balance sheet accounts for companies within the group on monthly basis. Maintain Financial Registers
- Fixed Assets: Maintenance and reconciliation of fixed assets register
- including reallocation of cost to other businesses within the group (support Company Accountant)
- Lease Assets: Maintenance and reconciliation of lease assets register
- including payment of rentals. (support Company Accountant)
- HP Register: Maintenance of HP register. (support Finance Manager – Par time)
- Account Reconciliation
- Review of some GL accounts such as Computer, Consulting, Repair and Maintenance, Staff amenities for identifying expense of capital nature on monthly basis.
