An opportunity has become available for a Finance Officer to join a reputable and culture-focused organisation in a permanent full-time position.
Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will be responsible for supporting with the full accounts process for the business. This role will allow you to perform payroll and the full accounts payable and accounts receivable process including invoice processing, reporting, reconciliations, debtor management, month-end processes, and ad hoc finance support to the Manager.
This role allows you to work in a fast-paced and thriving organisation while offering you a challenging yet rewarding opportunity. You will be part of an accounts team of five, and have the opportunity to expand your accounts knowledge and skills. Key Responsibilities
Reporting to the Finance Manager, your responsibilities will include, however are not limited to:
- Manage and process accounts payable and receivable transactions;
- Support all month-end processes and year-end financial obligations;
- Manage payroll function for the group including superannuation, tax and reporting;
- Assist with all budgeting and cash flow preparation;
- Support project accounting duties including, reporting, reconciliation of accounts and drawdown requests;
- Daily bank and intercompany reconciliations and review of financials relating to property settlements.
Skills and Experience
As the suitable candidate for this position, you will have demonstrated experience as a Finance Officer, Accounts Officer, Assistant Accountant or Accountant with a keen interest in accounts.
In addition, you will demonstrate:
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel and ability to learn new systems and processes with ease;
- Ability to problem solve and show initiative;
- Effective and adaptive interpersonal communication skills;
- High attention to detail, with the ability to recognise inconsistencies and make adjustments.
