The Opportunity
The Chief Financial Officer is responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of the company’s financial operations. As a key member of the Executive Team, the CFO offers strategic financial guidance and advisory support, playing a critical role in key decision-making processes aimed at maximising business performance and increasing shareholder value. In addition to financial oversight, the CFO will also serve as the Director for the company’s corporate entities. This is an exciting contract opportunity with the potential to transition into a permanent role.
Role Responsibilities
- Lead the Finance function partnering with the CEO & ELT providing strategic direction and oversight
- Ownership of Finance, Accounting, Credit, Payroll, Payables, FP&A, P&L, budget management, tax strategy, and compliance
- Ensure financial and accounting principles and procedures are in-line with legal and corporate requirements
- Deliver timely and accurate reporting to internal and external parties
- Develop financial business plans and budgets monitoring performance with variance analysis
- Divisional business partnering providing commercial advice and insights on all finance related matters
- Lead the development of KPI tracking in an operational scorecard
- Drive performance through review and implementation of pricing strategies
- Excellent communication skills, engaging effectively across all organisational levels
- Drive and deliver the long-term strategic narrative alongside the broader leadership team
- Build, retain and develop a high-performing Finance team
- Role model adherence to all company values, policies, and standards
- CA / CPA and or MBA Qualified
- 10+ years’ experience in finance leadership
- Financial leadership of a business unit
- ERP & implementation knowledge – SAP advantageous
- Prior manufacturing experience preferred
- High level of financial and commercial acumen
- Strong leadership skills with a growth mindset
- Excellent communication to liaise with a broad range of stakeholders
- Self-motivated to drive function improvement
