About the Role:
This critical role is supporting the business and actively partners with Procurement, Supply Chain, Treasury and Commercial. The role is a key member of the Commodity Risk Team and shares valuable insights and risk reporting to drive commodity strategies and business performance. The role reports into the Procurement Finance Manager, you are accountable for the following responsibilities:
- Ownership of hedging system - managing life cycles of all commodities derivative contracts;
- Management of weekly risk position reporting across multiple portfolios;
- Participate in developing new risk management strategies;
- Partner with Treasury to align on accounting implications;
- Manage Hedge contract execution
- Identify Risk and Opportunities in budget and forecast process
- Support Commercial and Procurement teams by providing relevant analysis, insights and market information;
- Ensure compliance with the Strategy Control Framework and Treasury Policy.
About the Candidate:
As the successful candidate you will be CA/CPA qualified with a minimum of 3 years experience in Commodity Risk Management including Commodity accounting and experience in a commodity (soft) environment. Your effective communication will see you engage with various stakeholders with demonstrated influencing skills. You will have proven analytical and problem solving skills where you will be required to make quick decisions. This role is critical to the team and will play a pivotal part to the success of the team.
