About the role:
This pivotal role combines strategic insight, financial expertise, and operational support. Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will play a key role in driving commercial success by partnering with teams across distribution and supply chain to deliver impactful outcomes in a complex and fast-paced environment.
As a trusted advisor to the Senior Leadership Team (SLT), you will leverage your financial acumen and storytelling skills to present insights, challenge assumptions, and influence decision-making, ultimately driving meaningful change and innovation.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with senior leaders, including the CEO, President, and CFO, to deliver financial insights and strategic advice.
- Work closely with distribution and supply chain stakeholders to identify opportunities for growth and operational efficiency.
- Support annual financial planning and quarterly forecasting processes, ensuring high-quality business planning around revenue, costs, and capex.
- Prepare and present budgets, forecasts, and financial models to inform decision-making.
- Conduct financial analysis and deliver actionable insights to support business objectives.
- Liaise closely with SLT and ELT members to identify opportunities for revenue/profit improvement and risk mitigation.
- Develop financial models to assess and support projects aimed at creating long-term value for the company.
- Drive initiatives to streamline financial processes and improve reporting accuracy.
- Ensure alignment of financial strategies with organisational goals.
About You
You bring a collaborative mindset, outstanding communication skills, and the ability to influence senior stakeholders. Experience in industrial, distribution, or retail will be highly regarded, along with a background in a Big 4 accounting firm.
Skills & Experience:
- CPA/CA qualified (or equivalent)
- Strong financial planning, analysis, and reporting skills.
- Proven ability to present complex financial information to senior leadership.
- Experience working with supply chain, distribution, or manufacturing stakeholders.
- Big 4 background is highly regarded, reflecting strong technical skills and a commercial mindset.
