They are in need of an experienced Factory Manager to join the team. This person will play a pivotal role in managing the day-to-day operations of their processing facility in Sydney, offering an opportunity to contribute to process improvement initiatives and drive key leadership development within the business. 
 
Further details about the role
Reporting to the National Processing Manager, you will:
  • Monitor and drive improvements in the performance of the facility against improvement, budget and performance targets, reducing operational costs through efficient use of resources.
  • Be responsible for the operational budget for the facility, and associated reporting.
  • Analysis of operational expenses, to understand and identifying areas for cost reduction and capital investment.
  • Ensure the facility and assets are maintained, with a focus on preventative maintenance.
  • Model and encourage a culture of continuous improvement and ownership.
  • Developing a high performing team with a focus on communication and feedback.
  • Ensure performance development frameworks are in place to manage staff performance, drive development of organisational capability.
  • Implement effective change management strategies that maximise employee engagement.
  • Manage and drive various projects as required including production process improvements and rollouts.
The ideal candidate for this position will have experience in the following:
  • Demonstrated experience managing food processing facilities and leading diverse teams.
  • Passionate about people leadership, with a proven track record to lead and develop team members to reach their full potential.
  • Strong strategic stakeholder relationship management skills with the ability to influence across varying levels of the organisation.
  • Technical knowledge of food manufacturing operations and an understanding of emerging trends and technologies.
  • Tertiary qualifications in business management, food science, science, or equivalent years of experience.
