Out client is a globally recognised FMCG business that has been a leader in its industry for decades. This company operates across multiple international markets, providing high-quality consumer products to a diverse customer base. 

Role overview:
Based in Sydney CBD, this Demand Planner role is a fixed-term contract (8+ months) covering maternity leave, with potential for permanency.

You will play a key role in forecasting, collaborating with sales and supply chain teams, and driving demand planning strategies. Strong analytical skills, stakeholder management, and the ability to challenge sales teams constructively are essential.

The ideal candidate will have FMCG or consumer goods experience and a proactive, detail-oriented mindset.

Key responsibilities:
  • Manage demand planning across 30 markets for 13 end markets of varying complexity.
  • Develop and maintain collaborative forecasting processes with sales teams and major customers.
  • Conduct demand forecasting meetings, prepare reports and presentations, and align forecasts with business objectives.
  • Partner with senior stakeholders, including Heads of Sales, to drive effective forecasting strategies.
  • Utilise data from sales teams, external sources, and promotional planning to enhance forecast accuracy.
  • Ensure DIFOT and service levels are effectively managed.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives in demand planning processes.
Key requirements:
  • 2-5 years in demand planning, preferably within FMCG or consumer goods industries.
  • Strong understanding of demand planning principles, forecasting methodologies, and supply chain processes.
  • Ability to challenge forecasts and provide data-driven insights to senior sales and supply chain teams.
  • Self-starter with strong problem-solving skills and curious mindset.
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills to manage complex data sets and drive forecasting accuracy.
  • Experience in preparing reports and delivering presentations to senior stakeholders.
