What You’ll Do
As a Data Engineer, you'll be a key player in the company's data modernisation journey. Your role will involve:
- Designing, developing, and maintaining optimal data pipelines across global regions.
- Building and maintaining Master Data Management systems and advanced analytics platforms.
- Collaborating with Data Scientists and Analysts to develop and deploy ML models (e.g. predictions, classifications).
- Driving automation and scalability by improving existing infrastructure and processes.
- Supporting real-time and batch data ingestion to empower enterprise and exception reporting.
- Enforcing data governance, security models, and DevOps best practices across the team.
Your Experience
We're looking for someone with a strong mix of technical expertise and business awareness. Ideally, you’ll bring:
Essential
- Advanced experience with SQL, DAX, Python, Scala or R.
- Proven ability to build and maintain ETL pipelines at scale.
- Familiarity with dimensional data modelling and self-service BI tools.
- Strong DevOps knowledge and hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines.
- Excellent communicator who can bridge the gap between data and business.
- Experience with cloud-based data ecosystems, ideally Azure (e.g. Azure Databricks, Azure Power Platform, Azure Analysis Services).
- Knowledge of Power BI and the DAX language.
- Exposure to data ingestion, integration tools, and master data management platforms.
- Experience working in Agile teams with robust release/version control processes.
