The Company

A highly successful and growing privately owned Mining Company based in West Perth is looking to appoint a confident and detail-oriented Corporate Accountant to join its finance function. 

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced finance professional to join a collaborative and fast-paced business where you'll be involved in a variety of accounting activities across group entities. The role offers plenty of scope for ownership, process improvement, and meaningful stakeholder engagement.

The Role

As Corporate Accountant, you’ll be responsible for supporting the delivery of accurate financial reporting across the group. You’ll manage key month-end processes, maintain intercompany accounts, and ensure the smooth operation of fixed asset accounting and capital tracking. You’ll also play a key part in developing and documenting internal procedures, helping to drive operational efficiency and strong financial governance.

Key Duties Will Include:
  • Managing intercompany transactions, including invoicing, reconciliations, and journal processing
  • Overseeing fixed asset accounting and tracking capital expenditure against budgets and approvals
  • Supporting monthly close processes and preparing consolidated trial balances
  • Collaborating with various departments to ensure financial data is complete and accurate
  • Assisting with audit preparation and contributing to improvements in internal processes
What We’re Looking For:
  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar financial or corporate accounting role
  • Strong knowledge of month-end processes and Balance Sheet reconciliations
  • Exposure to external audits and an understanding of group reporting structures
  • Ideally experience working within a privately owned or complex business environment
  • Fully qualified (CA/CPA) preferred, although part-qualified candidates will also be considered
You’ll Also Need To Be:
  • Hands-on and solutions-focused, with a strong attention to detail
  • Proactive, with the ability to manage your own time and workload effectively
  • An excellent communicator who enjoys working across teams and building relationships
  • Skilled in Microsoft Excel and comfortable using financial systems (ERP experience is a bonus)
