As the leader of the commercial finance function you are responsible for the financial, commercial, contractual, regulatory and compliance aspects of this infrastructure organisation. Part of a multi billion dollar infrastructure fund this organisation is innovative and forward thinking with plenty of exciting projects current under management and in the pipeline.
The responsibilities
Reporting to the Finance Director you will be responsible for leading a team and providing analysis, insight & commentary. Other duties include (but are not limited to):
- Oversee & manage the commercial finance function
- Business partner with the operations of the organisation
- Lead due diligence and M&A projects
- Review and assess contracts and prospective deals
- Financial modelling
- Take ownership of the P&L statement to improve business performance
- Oversee compliance with relevant legislation
- Conduct industry research
- Oversee the budgeting and business planning cycle
- Coach & develop a team of dedicated analysts
- Drive strategic direction & business growth
You will be a CPA/ CA qualified accounting professional who has a background working within the electricity, energy, gas, water or similar industries. You will have exceptional interpersonal skills with a proven track record of successfully advising key stakeholders. You will have experience in delivering projects.
