Operating nationally, this privately owned business boasts a diversified portfolio of products and services. Experiencing double-digit revenue growth in recent years there is now an opportunity to continue to expand through diversity, organic growth and new market penetration. The business has a robust foundation to expand with confidence. The Sydney based HO requires a commercial and strategic CFO to join the ELT. 
  
You will report to the Managing Director in this pivotal business partnering role. You will oversee the financial administration of the business, deliver commercial insight, and drive strategic initiatives. Key responsibilities will include: 
  
  • Lead and oversee the Finance team through all internal and external reporting including- Statutory reporting, Taxation and Treasury.
  • Lead the Annual Budgeting process, and relevant Forecasting and Cashflow
  • Plans must align to corporate deliverables and timeline, be accurate and tied to financial strategic targets.
  • Delivery of timely, accurate, and effective analysis and reporting of financial and operational performance of the business
  • Partner with the MD and ELT to lead the development of the strategic plans and partner with business units across the business to develop and embed a dynamic strategy which creates value for our customers and our shareholders.
  • Problem solve key strategic decisions, including identifying and assessing a problem or analysing a specific area of an organisation and formulating recommendations for improvement by presenting the case to key stakeholders including the Executive Team and the Board.
  • Consult to the MD to drive the business plan development including developing and presenting communication materials to ELT, Board and Shareholders.
  • Ensure that assigned business analysis activities are conducted within agreed timeframes and cost parameters, ensuring that identified solutions provide efficiencies in business
  • Identify opportunities for growth and performance improvement
  • Risk assessment and analysis on change impact of new initiatives to stakeholders
  • Provide commercial acumen to other stakeholders and business leaders developing objectives, strategies and plans aimed at achieving customer satisfaction and the efficient use of organisations' resources, including strategic thought leadership to drive business improvement.
  • Assist in evaluation of current systems and structures of the organisation and where required, advise on processes and procedures to improve efficiencies.
  • Direct internal stakeholders towards more efficient organisation and develop solutions to organisational problems
  • Lead and mentor the finance team, with a focus on best practice.

CA/CPA qualified you will be a commercially astute business leader who has demonstrated success within broad, strategically focused roles. You will have a proven history of business partnering with senior executives and possess the ability to effectively communicate financial data to operations. Experience within a scale up business, preferably multi-site, or similar i.e. Aged Care or Hotel. Systems integration and implementation advantageous as well as Strong MS Excel.
