Are you an experienced Business Systems Analyst looking to make an impact in a government security risk reduction project? We are seeking a detail-oriented professional to facilitate the development of business, functional, and non-functional requirements that will drive security enhancements across our department.
About the Role:
As a Business Systems Analyst, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and suitability of technical solutions by clearly defining business requirements. You will document current processes, identify business challenges, and design optimised future-state processes that align with organisational needs.
You will collaborate with key stakeholders, including Project Managers, Solution Architects, Business Application Owners, and IT Experts, to deliver high-quality business analysis and requirements documentation.
Key Responsibilities:
Business Analysis Planning & Monitoring
- Develop and document business analysis approaches, stakeholder engagement plans, and communication strategies.
- Consult with stakeholders to define business, functional, and change management requirements.
- Work closely with external implementation partners to deliver business-aligned solutions.
- Prioritise and document business requirements, ensuring traceability throughout the project lifecycle.
- Develop detailed business requirements specifications and resolve business issues effectively.
- Document functional specifications for system requirements and interfaces.
- Define configuration requirements to support security and mobility initiatives.
- Support additional project-related activities as directed by the Project Manager.
- Proven experience as a Business Systems Analyst within complex IT projects.
- Strong ability to document, analyse, and optimise business processes.
- Experience engaging with stakeholders across different levels of an organisation.
- Exceptional communication and relationship management skills.
- Recent public sector experience is highly desirable.
- Experience with projects related to information security, remote access, enterprise mobility, mobile device management, mobile application management, BYOD, or conditional access is highly desirable.
