Due to the growth of the business they are seeking the services of an experienced Billing Officer to join the organisation immediately on a permanent basis.
Position Description
Your daily tasks will include, but are not limited to the following:
- Manage the resources of the area to achieve documented outcomes.
- Interact with management to set targets for work level achievement.
- Actioning regular tasks to support the wider business such as account billing, debt management, processing of payments, etc.
- Preparation of periodic reporting and ensure reporting is performed on-time.
- Complete billing requirements to meet end of month close deadlines.
- Monitoring, developing, and managing the collection of debt.
- Contribute to the development of Pathology Accounts policy and procedures.

The successful applicant will have prior experience in an accounts focused role along with the following attributes:
- A degree or diploma in an appropriate discipline and extensive experience in a similar role.
- Previous leadership experience in a similar role.
- Knowledge of accounting principles relative to accounts payable, accounts receivable and general ledger accounting.
- Demonstrated experience in providing leadership, direction and support to diverse teams and the ability to develop a positive team culture.
- Highly effective interpersonal skills and a demonstrated ability to communicate with team members, stakeholders, and clients.
- Results driven and goal oriented with an ability to learn and adapt quickly.
- Exception attention to detail with proven ability to understand and interpret data, analyse systems, and monitor service delivery targets.
- Proven skills and knowledge using MS office with intermediate Excel skills (highly desired).
- Knowledge of billing practices in relation to Pathology testing (highly desired)
- Current national criminal history check, or willing to obtain one
