In this role, you will focus on maintaining and optimising the businesses position across a number of raw materials.

You will be responsible for analysing and understanding domestic and global market trends to ensure the business's wider strategy is qualified, with the ultimate goal to optimise raw material procurement and identify potential areas to maximise margin and profit for the business.
You will be responsible for purchasing raw material and various commodities with a focus on quality and reliability of suppliers, and effectively manage any risk elements to position the business to achieve its commercial objectives. You will also work across internal areas of focus, including supply chain, market changes in nutrient solutions and logistic providers to ensure the business continues to be at the forefront of the industry.
To be successful in this role, you will need to demonstrate:
- A relevant tertiary qualification within an agribusiness or economics discipline.
- Experience in a role that has given you exposure to the Australian agricultural commodity market, be that in trading, logistics or a supply chain capacity.
- Strong negotiation skills
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, along with the ability to engage with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders
- A sound knowledge of the Australian commodity markets, preferably with an understanding of international commodity markets and raw materials, as well as a passion for the industry.
