They are currently seeking a dedicated Accounts Receivable Officer to join their finance team. About the Role:
Reporting to the Credit Manager and working collaboratively among a close knit team, the role will include but not be limited to:
- Manage and maintain the accounts receivable ledger, ensuring accurate invoicing and timely collections.
- Follow up on overdue accounts through phone, email, and letters to ensure prompt payments.
- Reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies quickly to maintain financial accuracy.
- Work with internal teams (sales, customer service) to resolve billing issues and ensure customer satisfaction.
- Accurately process and allocate payments.
- Prepare regular reports on accounts receivable status and aging for management.
- Assist with month-end closing and financial reporting as needed.
- Stay informed on regulations and compliance requirements related to accounts receivable.
- Contribute to process improvements for greater efficiency in accounts receivable functions.
- Provide general support to the finance team with ad hoc tasks and projects.
About You:
To be considered for this role, you should have experience as an Accounts Receivable Officer with a solid understanding of accounting principles. You are detail-oriented and efficient, thriving in a fast-paced environment. Your strong communication skills enable you to work well with both customers and internal teams to resolve issues and ensure timely payments. You are skilled at reconciling accounts, identifying discrepancies, and addressing them quickly. With a focus on continuous improvement, you bring ideas to improve processes and financial performance. You are committed to maintaining compliance with regulations and company policies. The ideal candidate will have a positive attitude, work well in a team, and be detail-focused with strong time management skills and experience in a busy finance environment.
