We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Business Improvement Officer with a passion for driving positive change and ensuring adherence to legislative standards. This position closely resembles a Business Analyst role, focusing on process analysis, stakeholder engagement, and the documentation of business requirements. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with service delivery teams to develop controlled documents, such as policies and procedures, ensuring alignment with legislative and government requirements. This role demands strong analytical capabilities, adept stakeholder engagement, and the capacity to formulate evidence-based policy solutions. Key Responsibilities: Conduct research and analysis of existing processes and legal advice to craft evidence-based policy solutions. Engage with both internal and external stakeholders to identify business challenges and accurately document requirements. Prepare comprehensive documentation, including policies, procedures, work instructions, reports, and briefing notes. Manage multiple projects simultaneously, meeting tight deadlines and consulting with subject matter experts as needed. Employ process modelling tools and techniques to visualise workflows and data effectively. Develop, evaluate, and recommend solutions that address business needs. Collaborate with IT teams to ensure business requirements align with technical solutions, including systems integration and workflow automation. Ensure controlled documents are accurate and compliant with legislative provisions. Implement and coordinate policy communication strategies, including delivering briefings to staff when necessary. Support change management initiatives to promote the smooth adoption of new processes, systems, and tools. Uphold governance over policy-related matters to ensure consistency with legislation, regulations, and procedures concerning the Portable Long Service Leave schemes. Ideal Candidate: Exceptional interpersonal, written, analytical, and verbal communication skills. Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced, high-volume, and sensitive work environment. Capacity to work both independently and collaboratively within a team setting. Strong attention to detail to ensure precision and consistency in policy documentation. Experience in structured problem-solving to diagnose and address business challenges. Advanced analytical skills to interpret complex information, identify root causes, and formulate actionable recommendations.
