OverviewReporting to the Category Lead and supporting the Commercial Team (Sales, Marketing, E-commerce & Merchandise), the Category Analyst plays a critical role in developing short & long term growth plans & strategies across the 4P’s - product, price, placement and promotion.Responsibilities Report, review and analyse financial and non-financial data to identify trends/variances to help generate insights & drive business performance. Support the Category Lead in analysing business performance to provide financial and commercial insight on sales and various margin levels, including volume, price, COGs and product mix analysis to drive improved margin across all business channels (B2B & D2C), customers and categories - End to End Partner with the Commercial Team to support the interpretation of monthly financial + market results and provide recommendations for key actions Assist the Category Lead and Commercial Team to measure, analyse and review promotional performance including price elasticity in order to deliver PMR (Price Margin Ratio) effectiveness Support the Commercial Team with reporting & data analysis to deliver category strategies, customer reviews, category sales plans and lead customer story development on key initiatives Support the development and on-going refinement of the S&OP process and model Skills Minimum 3+ years commercial experience in a Category Management or similar relevant position Possess an in-depth understanding of financial acumen to support market-level pricing strategies, budgets and priorities of markets, and categories Experience working with and analysing syndicated data (Tableau, SAP, GFK, Circana, Nielsen, IRI) or similar Experience in data analytics and financial modeling Strong attention to detail Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
