About the Role We are seeking a highly skilled Solution Architect (Data Specialisation) to review, define, and implement future-state architecture for a cutting-edge data platform. This strategic initiative involves redesigning, constructing, and deploying a platform that seamlessly integrates with a broad range of applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct a technology landscape review of the current data lake platform and broader ecosystem.
- Develop and document architectural frameworks, ensuring alignment with enterprise standards and industry best practices.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define optimal design and build solutions.
- Recommend best-practice standards for data integration and ingestion, enabling a self-service data experience.
- Define a multi-environment architecture to support both BAU and project-based deliverables.
- Engage with vendors and internal teams to build a robust data platform supporting strategic objectives.
- Address risks, issues, and challenges impacting project implementation.
- Provide analysis, reports, and solution recommendations to align with business needs.
- Proven experience in data architectural design, frameworks, and guiding artefacts within large, complex organisations.
- Expertise in designing and implementing scalable, high-performing data platforms.
- Strong leadership, collaboration, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Ability to drive technical teams towards high-impact outcomes.
- Awareness of Enterprise Architecture frameworks (e.g., TOGAF, QGEA).
- Understanding of Data Management frameworks.
- Degree in Information Technology or related field.
- Familiarity with the ITIL framework.
- Engagement with enterprise architects and data teams to assess the current ecosystem.
- Development of a visual representation of the current data stack health.
- Future-state data architecture design for the Data Capability Platform.
- Blueprint of best-practice standards for data integration and ingestion.
- Prioritisation and scheduling of high-value datasets based on business needs.
