The Role | Reporting to the Group Finance Manager
The main duties of the role include (but are not limited to):
- Deliver accurate and timely taxation accounting and compliance services to the group
- Assist with tax reviews, audits and other communications with the ATO, NZ IRD and State Revenue Offices
- Liaise with external taxation advisors and assist with the review of tax return, GST returns, transfer pricing calculations and FBT returns
- Assist in identifying ways of improving the efficiency of tax compliance and accounting processes
- End of month cycle, including posting journals, balance sheet reconciliations, self-review and reporting
- Assist with the half year and full year group audit and tax requirements
- Assist with other ad hoc tasks and drive process improvements

- This role is ideal for a candidate working in a big 4/mid tier business services or corporate tax area who is looking to move into industry and is interested in a hybrid tax and accounting role
- Minimum of 4 years’ experience in taxation / business services
- Excellent trouble shooting/problem solving abilities whilst handling different priorities
- This role requires attention to detail and a “hands on approach”
